I always start with a sketch of an idea in various forms. Typically they start as abstract shapes that i turn into vibrantly layered compositions. I cut and design my own stencils that are later used with my Montana spray paint. Most pieces contain over fifty layers of  hand cut stencils layered to make just the right composition for the message im trying to send. Once i get started i go with the flow and just let the paint speak for itself many times the piece has a mind of its own and just takes way. Though much planning goes into every piece my nature of painting is sporatic and relies completely on my mood the weather and the message im trying to convey.
